ICICI Bank held 350 Kisan Sampark Exhibitions across Punjab & Haryana in June
As a part of its financial inclusion plan for the year, ICICI Bank Pvt Ltd organized Kisan Sampark Melas key areas like Ambala, Ahmedgarh, Faridkot, Fatehabad, Gohana, Gurdaspur, Hansi, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Kapurthala, Mandi, Mansa, Muktsar, Nawanshahr, Nabha, Nakodar, Ropar, Sangrur, Shahbad, Tarn-Taran, Tarori and Zirakpur across the states of Haryana & Punjab. Nearly 8000 villagers participated in it.
ICICI displayed a number of customized financial products and services like finance for agriculture, loans for wedding jewelry and loans for tractor. They also promoted Rural Business Credit Card and Kisan Kalpviraksh, besides basic banking facilities such as fixed deposit and savings accounts. It announced Farmer Finance via Agri Term Loan (ATL) and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) for farming and growth of farmland.

Maharashtra tops the list of states with the highest demand for retail loans
Maharashtra topped the lists of states with the highest demand for retail loans in the country. In the last financial year, there was increase in the demand for home loans in Mumbai. The demand for retail loans was also very high in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This information was disclosed in the report released by the Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd (CIBIL).
The CIBIL report further talks about the growth of credit cards and home loans in the country. It also mentions that there has been a significant decrease in credit card delinquency in the fiscal year 2014-15. HDFC Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, saw an increase in the number of credit cards issued in the last fiscal year. This was fuelled by an increase in the demand for credit cards in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune.
