  • Infrastructure Sector Growth to Remain Stable in 2020: In-Ra

    The infrastructure sector growth is expected to remain stable in 2020, according to a latest report from ratings agency India Ratings & Research. The ratings agency has given the infra sector a “stable” outlook on the back of “stable economic growth”. Moreover, the agency has also maintained a “stable” outlook for the road sector as the per day road construction touched a record high of 31.4 km during 2018-19, constructing close to 11,000 km of roads and highways so far. Nitin Gadkari, the union road transport and highways minister, recently revealed that 12,000 km of national highways works were to be awarded by December 2018. Ind-Ra maintained a “negative” outlook for the thermal power sector. Meanwhile, a “stable” outlook is also expected to be maintained by then transmissions sector.
