Factors affecting eligibility for SBI Credit Card

SBI requires you to meet a list of criteria for you to be able to apply for the card.

There are several factors that directly affect the chances of your approval for the SBI credit cards:

Credit History: A credit score of 750 or higher is an excellent credit score for approval of your application. A credit profile with a longer history of successfully managing debt (like paying bills on time) typically results in a better credit score, which greatly improves your chances of approval.

Stable Income: Credit card issuers need assurance that you can repay any amounts you borrow. Hence, applicants with a regular, steady source of income are viewed more favorably. Additionally, individuals who have maintained the same job for over a year are seen as less risky than those who frequently switch jobs.

Credit Inquiries: Having multiple applications simultaneously negatively impacts your credit report and thus your chances of approval.

Residential Location: While SBI has wide coverage, you will not be approved if your residential address is in a remote area or a specific location that SBI Card does not currently service or has black-listed.
