When you apply for an SBI credit card either online or offline, take note of the application number. You can use this number to check the status of your card application. You can check your application status online and offline. If you have applied for the card on BankBazaar, you can check the status of your application on BankBazaar’s website.
SBI has a portal for customers to apply for credit cards and track their credit card applications. With more than 5 million customers for their credit cards, SBI offers various types of cards designed for different purposes like travel, shopping, lifestyle and so on.

Applying for an SBI credit card is easy through SBI Card website. The same website will allow you to know the status of your credit card application.
There are two ways you can get the status - one is with the application number and the other without. Hence, those who don’t have the application number handy can also get the status of their card with the other option available.
When you cannot access internet, you can simply call the SBI credit card customer care number to know the status. SBI provides two helpline numbers to know about the status of credit card application status.

For the second number, you have to prefix your local STD code to get your card details. For instance, if you applied your card in Bengaluru, you need to dial 080-39020202.

Step 1: Once you’ve applied for SBI credit card through BankBazaar, you can track the application on BankBazaar site or BB mobile app through the ‘Track Credit Card Application’ option.
Step 2: Once you click on it, you need to enter your application number, mobile number, and date of birth PAN number (only for mobile app users) to check the status.
Once you submit credit card application to SBI, the card will be delivered within 21 working days. The bank will send you timely alerts with the status of your application to your registered mobile number.
Go to: www.sbicard.com/en/eapply.page#track-retrieve-form and click on ‘Retrieve Application’. Enter your date of birth and PAN number and click on ‘Retrieve’.
There could be various reasons for the bank to reject a credit card application. Some of them include poor or low credit score, low income for the card type, no credit history, wrong choice of credit card type, failed background verification, so on and so forth. Hence, have a look at each eligibility criteria and see where you’re lacking. You can also take help from SBI customer support to know the exact reason for rejection. Once you know the reason, try to fix it and re-apply after 3 months.
