  • Sbi Card To Use Chatbots And Artificial Intelligence For A Better Customer Experience

    In a bid to offer a better customer experience, SBI Card will soon adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and chatbot technologies. With almost 5.9 million users, SBI Card is the second largest credit card issuer in India. Hardayal Prasad, Managing Director & CEO, SBI Card said that these technologies will benefit SBI Card customers on a large scale. Talking about the increase in UPI-based transactions and growing digital wallets, Prasad said that SBI Card does not pose a threat. SBI Card is looking at the developments in the digital space as mere opportunities and not as a threat to the survival of physical cards. He further added that the plastic card era is here to stay in the country for sometime. He revealed that total spends on the SBI Card universe grew 80% in 2017. In addition to focus on technological improvements, SBI card will introduce new products and contribute to the ongoing growth in India’s payment ecosystem, added Prasad. He also revealed that about 50% of new SBI Card customers are coming from SBI since past couple of months. This is up from 35% previously.
