Punjab National Bank provides a convenient balance transfer facility to PNB Global Credit card holders, through which outstanding balance from another bank credit cards can be transferred to a PNB credit card. Any customer holding a PNB Global Credit card or availing a new card can make use of the Balance Transfer scheme. The interest rate charged on the Balance Transfer scheme is lower than the regular finance charges levied on a credit card.
PNB credit card customers can use the Balance Transfer on EMI scheme with a repayment tenure of six months. The interest rate levied by Punjab National Bank is 0.99% per month. Customers have to pay a processing fee of 1% of the transfer amount or a minimum of Rs.199, whichever is higher. The amount transferred can be repaid bank as monthly instalments at the rate of Rs.172.50 for every Rs.1000.
Customers can make balance transfers with a minimum amount of Rs.2000 and up to a maximum of 90% of the credit card limit or the customer’s pre-determined credit limit, whichever is lower. The disbursement of the amount will be done through a draft by PNB.
A PNB credit card holder is eligible for the Balance Transfer Scheme if he/she is an Indian resident and is the primary credit card account holder. The credit card held by the customer should not have any criminal records or be over the limit.
PNB credit card holders have to submit a request to the bank to avail the balance transfer facility. The completed balance transfer request form along with the latest monthly credit card statement copy from where the transfer is to be done has to be submitted to PNB. The monthly statement copy that is attached should not be more than 45 days old. Customers can download the Balance Transfer form from the PNB website. The request has to be mailed to PNB’s Credit Card Processing Centre located in Noida.
