    How To Register or Create HDFC Credit Card Net Banking Account?

    All HDFC Bank customers are automatically registered for the NetBanking facility. However, if you have not been registered for this facility, there are 4 ways you can register, free of cost.

     

    1. Online Registration

    • Step 1: Visit https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/ways-to-bank/bank-online/netbanking. Scroll to the middle of the webpage where you will find a link to Register Online. Click on this link.

    • Step 2: You will be redirected to the page below. Click on the link, ‘Register for NetBanking by generating a One Time password (OTP)’.

    • Step 1: Call the PhoneBanking number as applicable to your city from https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/find-your-nearest/find-phone-banking.
    • Step 2: Provide either your Customer ID and TIN (Telephone Identification Number) OR your debit card number and PIN.
    • Step 3: Give your NetBanking registration request to the PhoneBanking agent.

    Your IPIN will be couriered to your registered mailing address within 5 business days.

     

    3. ATM

    • Step 1: Visit any HDFC Bank ATM.
    • Step 2: Enter your debit card number and your ATM PIN.
    • Step 3: From the main screen, select ‘Other Option’.
    • Step 4: Choose ‘NetBanking Registration’ and then confirm the same.

    Your IPIN will be couriered to your registered mailing address.

     

    4. Bank Branch

    • Step 1: Download the NetBanking Registration from the bank’s website.
    • Step 2: Take a print out, fill in the required details, and submit it at any HDFC Bank branch.

    HDFC Credit Card Payment Through Net Banking :

    Access to HDFC credit card net banking will allow you to pay your credit card bill within a few clicks. You can stop relying on other sources to pay your credit card bill once you have the HDFC mobile app installed on your phone. To pay credit card bill through HDFC net banking account:

    • Login to your account
    • Select Credit Card and the card number you wish to pay the bill for
    • Click ‘Transact > Credit Card Payment’ and follow the instructions.
     

    Hotlist or block HDFC credit card:

    In case your HDFC credit card is lost or stolen, instead of approaching HDFC customer care, you can block the card yourself through your net banking account.

    • Login to your net banking account
    • Select ‘Credit card > Hotlisting’
    • Choose the card for blocking
    • Mention the reason, either lost or stolen
    • Select ‘Yes or No’ for the reissuance of the card and click ‘Submit’.

    Your card will be instantly blocked and the credit limit on the card becomes zero. This prevents any other transactions to take place using the card. The bank will send you a new card to your registered address in 7-10 working days and a card issuance fee of Rs.100 will be charged for the service. Please note that the hot listing feature is only for lost or stolen cards, but not for damaged or non-working cards. In case of such cards, you need to contact HDFC credit card customer care and place a request for new card.

     

    Apply for HDFC Insta Loan through net banking:

    The HDFC Insta Loan is an instant loan facility that can be availed within the eligible credit limit of the card. The loan is available only for select HDFC customers and requires no documentation. Once applied, the loan gets approved online and the same will be credited to your savings account. The loan repayment can be done in equated monthly instalments (EMIs) which include principal plus interest. To apply for Insta Loan through net banking

    • Login to net banking account
    • From the left side menu, select ‘Credit Card > Insta Loan’
    • Select the credit card and click ‘Continue’
    • You will be prompted to enter the required loan amount, which should be within the available limit on the card, enter the same, select the repayment tenure and confirm.

    An acknowledgement of approval or rejection of the loan will be displayed on screen.

     

    Apply for HDFC SmartEMI through net banking:

    HDFC SmartEMI allows you to convert purchases made using your credit card into EMIs. This facility is again available for select HDFC customers and allows them to convert purchases above Rs.2,500 in to EMIs. To apply for SmartEMI through HDFC net banking –

    • Login to your net banking account
    • From the left side menu, click ‘Credit Card > SmartEMI
    • Choose the card and select the transaction to be converted into SmartEMI

    Once you submit the details, the transaction will get instantly converted into EMI and you the first EMI will be added to next billing cycle. A one-time processing fee will be charged to avail the facility and the interest will be added to the EMIs based on the selected tenure.

     

    Increase Your Credit Card Limit Or Apply For A Card Upgrade Through Net Banking:

    If the current credit limit on your card is not sufficient, you can apply for credit limit enhancement. However, not all cards are eligible for limit enhancement. You can check your net banking account if or not your card is eligible for the facility and raise a request for the same.

    Sometimes, the bank also provides a card upgrade with limit enhancement for select customers. In that case, the card will be upgraded to a new credit card product and the limit will also be enhanced. You need to check you net banking account to check whether or not your card is eligible for the facility.

    • Login to your net banking account
    • From the left side menu, click ‘Credit Card > Card Upgrade with Enhancement’
    • Choose the card and click ‘Continue’

    If the card is eligible, you will find the same as a pop-up message. The eligible credit limit along with the new credit card name will be displayed. You can check the features and benefits of the same from the bank’s website and finalise the upgrade. Once approved a new and upgraded credit card will be dispatched to your registered address within 7 to 10 working days. All the transactions, dues, reward points (a percentage) and other details from your old card will be transferred to the new card.

    However, in case of only limit enhancement you will not receive any new credit card. You can use the same credit card but with an enhanced credit limit.

     

    Change HDFC Credit Card ATM PIN through net banking:

    Don’t fret if you forget your credit card PIN. With the HDFC net banking facility, you can raise a request for new IPIN

    • Login to HDFC net banking account - https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/
    • Click Credit Cards > Credit Card ATM PIN
    • Select the Credit Card from the drop down menu and click ‘Continue’
    • On successful completion, a message will appear confirming your request for new credit card PIN

    You will soon receive your new credit card PIN will at your registered address.

     

    Change HDFC Bank Credit Card net banking password:

    If you wish to change your net banking password, you can do so using HDFC internet banking account by following the instructions given below:

    • Login to net banking account - https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/
    • Click on the ‘change password’ option towards the top right-hand of the screen of the net banking homepage.
    • Type in the current password and the new password in the respective boxes and click ‘Submit’.
    • An acknowledgement of the change in password will be displayed on screen.
