ICICI Bank offers multiple payment modes to pay your credit card bill using both online and offline channels. Using a debit card to clear credit card outstanding due is one of the methods that can be done using both online and offline channels. However, ICICI Bank is currently accepting only ICICI Debit Cards to make credit card bill payments. Other bank debit cardholders may have to choose another payment method if they want to make their ICICI Credit Card payment.

The facility to make ICICI Credit Card payment through debit card, either online or offline, is currently available only for ICICI debit card users. The bank is not accepting card payments from other bank debit cards. However, you can pay from other bank accounts by transferring money to your credit card account either through NEFT or net banking.
Credit Card Bill Payment through Debit Cards
To allow credit card customers clear their dues using their ICICI Debit Cards, the bank has introduced an online service called ‘Click to Pay’. Using the option, cardholders can make their credit card payments using their debit card or net banking account. The same facility can also be used to pay ICICI loan outstanding dues.
ICICI credit cardholders can directly use ‘Click to Pay’ to pay their card dues without any registration or net banking account. All you need is an active internet connection either to your PC or mobile phone and your credit card details. Once you are ready, follow the instructions below to pay your credit card bill using debit card.
When you don’t have access to the internet, you have two options to pay your ICICI Credit Card bill using your ICICI debit card.
You can visit any of the ICICI Bank ATMs to pay your credit card bill using your debit card. You need to have your credit card details such as card number, expiry, etc., to make payment. Hence, it is recommended to carry both ICICI Debit Card and ICICI Credit Card while visiting the ATM.
The best part about ATM payment is the amount gets credited instantly. So, if you are hours away from your credit card payment due date, you can walk-in to any ICICI Bank ATM, which again is available 24x7, and can avoid late payment charges.
When you neither have internet access nor can go to ICICI ATM, you can use ICICI phone banking facility to pay your credit card bill with your ICICI debit card. Call ICICI 24x7 customer care, follow the instructions to make payment using your ICICI debit card. Your payment will be credited instantly to your credit card account. However, make sure to have both your ICICI credit card and debit card handy before calling the customer care.

Currently, ICICI accepts credit card bills payments only through ICICI Debit Cards.
Credit card payments made using debit cards will be processed instantly once you have authorised your debit card transaction. A message with a successful transaction note will be displayed for successful transactions and you will also receive a payment transaction number. In case, your payment is unsuccessful, the same message will be displayed.
Even after a successful transaction, sometimes the system may not display transaction number due to connection failures, power outages and the like. In that case, you can check your credit card net banking account to find the transaction. ALternatively, you can also call ICICI customer care to check the same. If your credit card account is not credited with the transaction amount within 3 working days, make sure to report the same to the bank.
No, you don’t have to register to avail the facility. All you need is an active ICICI debit card with sufficient funds to clear the due and an internet-enabled device.
