    The government of India launched the ‘Pashu Kisan Credit Card’ for the benefit of all animal husbandry farmers. This card will increase the animal husbandry business in the country and help the farmers earn more. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to extend the services of the Pashu Kisan Credit Card for a working capital requirement for a lot of activities that are related to animal husbandry and fisheries.

    How can you Apply for the Pashu Kisan Credit Card

    • In order to get a Pashu Kisan credit card, you will need to first visit a bank, and ask for the application form.
    • The application form for the Pashu Kisan Credit Card needs to be submitted along with a few KYC documents. The bank officials will let you know about the documents that you need to submit.
    • The credit card will be given based on the financial scale of work.

      • Fish Farmers (individual, partners, groups, tenant farmers, and sharecroppers)

      Please note that the beneficiary will have to must lease or own any of fisheries-related activities like tank, pond, raceway, open water bodies, rearing unit, and hatchery. He/she should also have a licence for fish farming and fishing-related activities.

    2. Marine Fisheries

      • Self Help Groups
      • Fish Farmers (individual, partners, groups, tenant farmers, and sharecroppers)
      • Women groups
      • Joint Liability Groups

      You should lease or own a registered fishing vessel, registered boat, have a fishing licence, and also permission for fishing in estuary and sea, and fish farming/mariculture activities in estuaries.

    3. Poultry and Small Ruminant

      • Farmers
      • Poultry farmers (individual or joint borrower)
      • Joint Liability Groups
      • Self Help Groups (tenant farmers of goats/ sheep/poultry/ pigs/ rabbit/ birds/ who have owned/leased/ rented sheds)
    4. Dairy

      • Farmers
      • Dairy farmers (individual or joint borrower)
      • Joint Liability Groups
      • Self Help Groups (tenant farmers having owned/leased sheds rented)
