In the case of loss or theft of your credit card, you must take the required steps to block or hotlist your card to prevent any kind of malicious activity. IDBI Bank offers many ways by which you can block your card.

Methods to Block IDBI Bank Credit Card

Through Net Banking

You can block or hotlist your credit card through the net banking facility of the bank. To do so, here are the steps you need to follow:

• Login to your net banking account and click on the option 'Cards'.
• Once done, select ‘Credit Card Hotlisting’.
• Select your credit card number, and choose your reason for hot listing. You may also input remarks if any.
• Click on 'Submit'.
• Enter the Transaction Password to confirm.

Once done, a confirmation is sent to your email ID and registered phone number about the blocking or hotlisting of the card.

Through Mobile Application

You can also block your credit card from the IDBI Bank mobile application which is the Abhay Card Control Application for Android and iOS devices. The steps involved to do so are:

• Log in to your mobile banking account.
• Click on the option of ‘Credit Card Hotlisting’.
• Enter your card details and other required details.
• Click on ‘Submit’.

Through Customer Care

If you are not able to access net banking or the mobile application, you can block your credit card through the IDBI credit card customer care number of the bank. You will be required to call the digital channel blocking hotline 1800226999 (toll-free) or any of the phone banking numbers 18002094324 and +9122-67719100 (chargeable). The phone banking representative will block your card as requested.

Apart from this, you can also send a request for blocking of your card and report the unauthorized transaction through the website of the bank at www.idbibank.in, reporting of unauthorized digital transactions.

To block your card through SMS, you can send SMS in the following format:

• BLOCK [Customer ID] to 5676777. Example: BLOCK 12345678 to 5676777.
