News About Central Bank of India Credit Card

    • Cent Aspire’ Credit Card Scheme - Central Bank of India

Central Bank of India has introduced a credit card to be issued to holders of FDs under the ‘Cent Aspire Term Deposit’ scheme. The ‘Cent Aspire’ credit card, is a secured credit card, i.e. it is issued against the amount held as an FD.

This scheme targets rural/semi-urban segments of India where credit card penetration is not weak. Most of the bank’s branches are located in the targeted geographical segment, making it a feasible way for the bank to extend credit while increasing savings of customers.

The main draws of the ‘Cent Aspire’ credit cards are the low interest rates, when compared to regular cards, and credit limits offered up to 80% of the amount held as fixed deposits (subject to an overall limit of Rs.4 lakhs).
