    • Zero Annual Fees:

      Other than the one-time joining fee of Rs. 250, Canara Bank does not levy any annual fees on this card. Enjoy the features and benefits of the Gold card every year for free!

    • Reward Points:

      Collect reward points on all transactions made on the credit card. You need to activate the rewards scheme. Get two points for every Rs. 100 you spend. Redeem your points at Rs. 0.25 per point.

    • Cash Advance:

      You are entitled to withdraw up to 50% of your credit limit with your Canara Global Gold Card. This is subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 cash against your credit card account. The charges for this service is 3% of the transaction amount when you use Canara Bank ATMs, or a minimum of Rs. 30 for every Rs. 1,000 withdrawn or part thereof. If you make a withdrawal at any other bank’s ATMs, the charges of that bank will be applicable.

    • Add on cards:

      For immediate family members above the age of 18, you can extend the benefits of the Canara Bank Global Gold card by taking Add-on cards for them. There are no annual fees attached.

    • Fuel surcharge waiver:

      Upon purchase of petrol and petroleum products on your Global Gold card, the 2.5% fuel surcharge will be waived for transactions of Rs. 400 and above. You are entitled to a maximum reimbursement of Rs. 100 per month. To avail of this waiver, you should spend at least Rs. 2,500 on petrol transactions for the billing month.

    • Complimentary Accident Insurance:

      You will receive complimentary insurance against accidental death due to air crash for Rs. 8 lakhs for yourself, and Rs. 4 lakhs for your spouse. For death by any other reason, the insurance will cover Rs.4 lakhs for yourself and Rs. 2 lakhs for your spouse.

    • Offer on Mediclaim insurance:

      Canara Bank has an arrangement with M/s United India Insurance wherein Canara Bank Global Gold customers can avail of Mediclaim policies at competitive rates. The premium will be significantly reduced.

    • Complimentary Baggage Insurance:

      The Canara Bank Global Gold credit card is issued in association with VISA and MasterCard. The card is accepted worldwide. You can use the credit card in India and abroad at merchant outlets and ATMs. The card is also accepted on the Internet, IVRS, Teleshopping and Mail order.

    • EMV chip and PIN enabled:

      The card is embedded with an EMV chip that gives you added protection against fraud and duplication. The card also required a PIN to authenticate your transactions.

    • Credit limit:

      You can avail of a credit limit of up to 50% of your annual income. The minimum limit is Rs. 50,000. The maximum credit limit is set at Rs. 25 lakhs. Credit limits are issued at the sole discretion of the Card Division of Canara Bank.

    • Interest-free period:

      Get up to 50 days interest-free periods to make payments on your credit card.

    • Revolving credit:

      Choose to pay your credit card bill according to your financial convenience. The minimum payment due is Rs. 100 or 5% of the billed amount, whichever is higher. The minimum amount must be paid by the due date. You can carry forward the remainder but interest will be levied.

    • Purchase Protection:

      When you shop with your Canara Bank Global Gold Credit Card, you are free from fraudulent products and services with Purchase Protection. Be covered for up to Rs. 50,000 in the event you need to dispute a charge.

    1. What is the minimum due on my Canara Bank Global Gold credit card?

      The minimum due is calculated as 5% of the billed amount. Rs. 100 is the minimum amount that will be charged.

    2. What charges are levied in case of missed payments?

      A charge of 2% + service tax on the outstanding amount not paid by the due date will be applicable. Canara Bank will suspend the usage of your credit card till you clear your debt in full.

    3. What happens if I cannot pay back my credit card bill?

      A credit card comes with great financial responsibility and must be used only to the extent that you can afford. In case you cannot pay back your dues, Canara Bank will hotlist your credit card. You will be reported to CIBIL and will appear on the negative list. This will have an impact on any future credit opportunities such as loans and overdrafts. Canara Bank also has the right to impose legal action to recover the overdue amount.

    4. When are my Canara Bank Global Gold credit card dues billed?

      The VISA Gold card is billed on the 20th of every month. The date will be the 10th of the next month.

      The MasterCard Gold card is billed on the last working day of every calendar month. The payment due date will be the 20th of the next month.

      You can opt to receive your credit card statement via email or post. The statement will be sent to you well in advance before the payment due date. You can also opt to receive SMS alerts with the bill information and due date so that you do not miss a payment.

      Account holders: Canara Bank will debit the credit card dues directly from the Canara Bank account designated by you. You should maintain a sufficient balance to pay your credit card bill. Failure to do so will result in the account being overdrawn to cover the amount due. Overdrawn amounts attract interest and should be cleared in 15 days to avoid further penalties and suspension of the card.

    7. How does Canara Bank determine the interest-free credit period?

      With your Canara Bank, Global credit card, you can get upto 50 days interest-free. That means you have up to 50 days to pay back the amount you spent without any interest. The credit period is determined based on the date of your transaction and the billing date. Clear your bills in full to carry on the interest-free period. If you carry forward a balance, then the interest-free period lapses, and interest is charged on the revolving amount as well as any subsequent purchases.
