YES Bank Credit Card Reward Points: How to Earn & Redeem

This online portal is the primary method to redeem points for vouchers, travel bookings and physical products. Follow the given steps to redeem points for your desired category: 

Step 1: Visit the yes bank official rewards portal.

Step 2: Use your registered mobile number to login. 

Step 3: Browse the available categories: 

1. Product Catalogue: You can use your reward points to buy physical products such as kitchen appliances, home décor, electronics items and fashion products. 

1. E-Gift Vouchers: You can also avail instant vouchers for top brands such as Amazon, Croma, Myntra, etc. 

1. Travel: Reward points can be used for booking flights, buses tickets and hotel stays. 

1. Recharge & Bill Payments: You can pay for your utility bills using the reward points or use it to recharge mobile/DTH services. 

1. Charitable Options: YES Rewardz Portal also provides an option to donate points to the YES Foundation. 

Step 4: Add your chosen item to the cart and click "Confirm" to complete the redemption.

Through "Pay with Points" at Merchant Checkouts: 

You can use your reward points as a currency for online shopping on your favourite applications. These reward points can be used at 100+ merchants like Swiggy, Yatra, BookMyShow, JioMart, and MyJio. To redeem these reward points, you must go to the payment page on these applications or websites, select the option to pay via Reward Points, and settle your bill amount. 

Redemption on IRCTC:

You can redeem your YES Bank rewards points for train ticket bookings on IRCTC. 

Step 1: Visit the IRCTC website only on your desktop or laptop only. 

Step 2: Proceed to the payment section and select the option, "IRCTC iPay". 

Step 3: Click on "Credit Card (OTM)" and enter your YES Bank card details. 

Step 4: Tick the box "Redeem your Points". 

Step 5: Enter the INR value you wish to redeem. Minimum value must be Rs. 250 and a maximum of 50% of the ticket value. 

Step 6: Submit the OTP to complete the transaction.    

Redemption of Reward Points through Air Miles Conversion:

YES Bank rewards points can also be converted into air miles. This option to redeem points into air miles can be done on YES Bank partner airlines like Club Vistara and InterMiles. The rate of conversion is 10 Reward Points equal to 1 Air Mile. Rates may vary according to each card variant. 

Follow these steps for redemption:  

Step 1: Log in to the YES Rewardz portal, 

Step 2: Select the ption "Air Miles"  

Step 3: Enter your frequent flyer membership ID  

Step 4: Choose the number of points you want to transfer. 

Step 5: Complete the transaction by submitting OTP. 

Offline Redemption:

You can also redeem YES Bank reward points offline using your phone by following the steps given below:  

1. You will have to call the YES Bank Credit Card helpline (1800-419-6000) or the number given on the back of your card. 

The next step is to verify your details with the representative and request for a redemption against available catalogue products or vouchers. 

Note: There are certain categories excluded for reward point redemption. In order to avoid last minute embarrassments and ensure a smooth experience, every credit card holder must be aware of the categories excluded from use as a channel for redemption of points.

Given below are the categories excluded for point redemption:

1. Fuel Transactions: YES Bank credit cards do not offer any reward points on transactions for fuel spends. However, they do offer a 1% fuel surcharge waiver at petrol pumps across India to reduce the cost for the customer. The reason for not rewarding points on fuel base transactions is that fuel stations already have low merchant margins.
2. EMI Transactions: Any transactions that are converted into Equated Monthly Installments (EMIs) at the time of purchase or later via the app, do not earn any reward points. The bank earns interest in these rather than the standard merchant fee that funds the rewards program.
3. Rent Payments: Recently, YES Bank has updated their policies which excludes rent payments via applications like NoBroker or Cred for reward points benefits.
4. Wallet Transactions: Adding money to digital wallets like Paytm and Mobikwik are also exempt from reward benefits as these transactions are often categorized as "quasi-cash" as they are just transferring money rather than buying goods.
5. Cash Withdrawals: Also, no reward points are accumulated on withdrawing cash from an ATM using your credit card. It is considered as a loan rather than standard retail spends and is excluded from rewards.
