"Good card for AIR MILES but bad for Charges"
      0.5 1.5/5 "Bad"
I hold a credit card with STANDARD CHARTERED BANK with a limit of 75000. I do get some benefits with Emirates and lounge benefits, air miles. The annual charge is 3000. One of the really poor things about Standard Chartered is the charges, they charge you 1% on transactions which are in Rupees but the company is foreign. They sell this off as "merchant charges", even when the merchant is providing a written confirmation that he is not charging, then also the bank refuses. So, I had paid Rs 5000 is these merchant charges on top of Rs 3000. No other bank is charging this. Bad experience when you are opting for an international card.

Standard chartered bank is good in terms of credit card. I had good experience with them and I am holding their Emirates Platinum card from 6months. I would recommend this card because I did not find any issues with them. We have to spend minimum 50k for to avoid charges.
