  • How to Block Punjab National Bank Credit Card

    A credit card, if lost or stolen can be damaging for the cardholder if not blocked or hot listed. In case your Punjab National Bank credit card is stolen or you have lost it, it is important that you immediately block the card to prevent any further transactions. To block or hotlist your card, Punjab National Bank offers a range of options.

    Blocking the card through Net Banking

    To block your card through net banking, the steps you need to follow are mentioned below:

    • Log in to your PNB net banking account.
    • Click on the option of ‘Value added Service’ then select ‘ATM/Debit Card Hotlisting’.
    • Choose your ‘Account Number’ from the drop-down list
    • Click on ‘Continue’ and the card attached to the chosen account will be displayed.
    • Select the card number. If the card number is not displayed, you can also enter the card number manually in the space provided against ‘Card Number’.
    • Enter IBS Transaction Password and then click on ‘Submit’.

    The confirmation message of the card being successfully hotlisted will appear immediately.

    Blocking the credit card through the Mobile App

    If a person does not have access to their net banking account, the card can be blocked through the PNB One App as well which is the official mobile application of the Punjab National Bank.

    The steps to block the card through the app are given below:

    • Log in to the PNB One App using login credentials.
    • Click on the Credit Card option, and then on the next page, click on the option of ‘Hotlist Credit Card’.
    • Select the account number from the drop-down list to which the card which needs to be hotlisted is attached.
    • Once done, click on ‘Continue’.
    • The card attached to the selected account will be displayed and then select the appropriate card number.
    • Enter the transaction password and then click on ‘Continue’.

    It is important to note that once a credit card is hotlisted, it cannot be de-hotlisted.

    Blocking the credit card through Customer Care

    You can also block or hotlist your credit card by contacting the credit card customer care number of PNB.

    The card can be blocked by calling the call centre representative of the bank on the 24-hour toll-free helpline numbers which are 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222, or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000.

    The IVRS module is also integrated with the above toll-free numbers. You can also send an SMS (HOT>space>Card Number) e.g. HOT 5545620002358767 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number.

    Blocking the credit card Offline

    You can also block your credit card by visiting the nearest branch of Punjab National Bank. You will be required to carry the required documents for identification along with your credit card details. A bank representative will help you with the process of getting the card blocked.

    These are some of the ways by which you can block or hotlist your credit card if it gets stolen or lost. You must report your credit card if it is stolen or lost to prevent any kind of malicious activity.
