RBL BANK’S Net Profit up by 34% in Q2
RBL Bank saw a growth in its net profit by almost a third in the second quarter of 2016 after its IPO, the bank saw a net profit growth to Rs. 89.89 crore from Rs. 66.93 crore in the previous quarter. The net interest for the quarter was Rs 302.94 crore, a 59.50% increase from the previous quarter. The quarter also saw the Net Interest Margin improve by 3.41% and the Cost to Income ratio drop to 53.59% from 60.01%. The bank will focus on leveraging technology to improve customer interaction, increase Current and Savings accounts deposits and keep credit costs at optimum levels. RBL Bank completed its IPO of R. 832.5 crore through equity shares which it registered with the NSE and BSE, it also picked up a 9.9% stake in the equity capital of Utkarsh Micro Finance during the second quarter.
