    Axis Bank's SMS Banking service provides you information in two ways: Automatic Alerts and SMS Requests.

    Automatic Alerts

    • You would automatically receive alerts on your registered mobile number for all the transactions done through Card/s, Internet Banking or Mobile Banking. For all other transactions (initiated through branch,system,cheque, etc.) you will receive SMS alerts for transactions above for Rs. 5,000. For Savings accounts having two or more holders, all the account holders who have provided their mobile numbers at the time of account opening or at a later stage will receive these alerts.
    • Bill payments due: If you are registered for bill payments, you would receive an alert on your cell phone informing you that a bill is pending for payment.

    SMS Requests

    A. Non- Transactional Service Request through SMS

    You can check your balance, go through the last three transactions, find out the status of your cheques and keep a tab on your demat account balances as and when you want it. All you have to do is send an SMS with the specified keyword to the SMS Banking number +919717000002 or 5676782*

    Axis Bank fund transfer options

    There are various modes of fund transfer that axis account holders can avail. They are:

    1. NEFT

      NEFT or National Electronic Fund Transfer system is available for use by Axis’s users. This mode of electronic fund transfer works on DNS (Deferred Net Settlement) basis at specific times of the day. In this system of fund transfer, the transaction is carried out between banks through payment instructions. There is no set limit for NEFT transactions.

    2. RTGS

      RTGS or Real Time Gross Settlement is a system where funds are transferred at real time based on transfer instructions received. It is referred to as gross settlement as the funds are settled individually as per instruction. It is the fastest mode of interbank money transfer in India.

    3. IMPS

      Immediate Payment Service or IMPS is an instant electronic fund transfer used for interbank transactions. This service can be availed through your mobile phone as well as channels such as internet banking, ATM, etc. Axis provides IMPS facility to its customers who are registered for using online Axis services.
