Procedure of availing Indonesia Visa on Arrival (VoA)

The procedure that needs to be followed by Indian nationals for obtaining the Indonesian visa upon arrival is a simple one. The complete procedure is mentioned below for the benefit of those who intend to travel to Indonesia and avail the VoA facility:

  • Indian nationals travelling to Indonesia are provided with a Passenger Arrival card in the flight. In case, the card is not provided you can get it from the arrival area at the airport.
  • The card needs to be filled up properly before passing through the Customs Passport Control.
  • Once the Customs Passport Control is passed, you need to collect the baggage and proceed through customs and biosecurity checks.
  • Next, you need to go to the counter and pay the requisite fee of 35 US dollars (i.e., Rs.2,517).
  • Once the payment is made, authorities will provide an entry stamp on the passport.
  • Following that, you need to go to another counter to get the counterfoil visa.
  • The final step is to go through the Immigration checkpoint and get an official entry into Indonesia.

Note: Indian nationals who wish to stay in Indonesia for a period of more than 60 days must apply for a different type of visa because Visa on Arrival (VoA) is valid only for a period of only 30 days. Though the VoA can be extended by another 30 days, it is safe to apply for a different type of visa before travelling to the country as the VoA cannot be converted into any other type of visa, once you are in Indonesia.
