Types of debit cards available
There are 3 types of debit cards that are offered by Citibank to their customers. Debit cards are classified according to their daily maximum withdrawal limit. The 3 types of debit cards are regular accounts, preferred accounts, and Citigold accounts. While the maximum withdrawal limit for regular accounts is equivalent to Rs.75,000, the maximum withdrawal limit for preferred account holders and Citigold account holders are equivalent to Rs.1.25 lakhs and Rs.1.5 lakhs per day.

Digital Wallet Launched by Citibank, MasterCard for Debit & Credit Cardholders
Citibank and MasterCard have together launched CitiMasterPass for its debit and credit cardholders. The product is a digital wallet which is designed to help customers shop online at over 2,50,000 shopping websites. CitiMasterPass is a global digital wallet that will safely store customer details and credentials. Customers have cited lack of secure online channels as the top reason for not involving in online shopping. CitiMasterPass strives to fill this gap by offering a credible payment solution.
The wallet is a convenient payment option since it eliminates the need to repeatedly fill in customer and payment details on shopping websites. Around 41% of Citibank transactions in India are performed online and as such this digital wallet is an ideal product to have. With the growing boom in the ecommerce industry, almost all companies financial or not are looking towards leveraging this boom. According to bank’s spokesperson, CitiMasterPass reduces the checkout time considerably making online transactions faster and easier for customers.
