The U.K. Home Office has stated that the inclination will lessen the UK taxpayers’ contributions made towards the citizenship and immigration. Also, it will make sure that by 2019 to 2020, the entire system will be self-funded by the people who utilize it.

An inclination in the fee structure is strongly associated with economic growth and because a country like India has a big segment of entrants looking to reside and work in the U.K., this move by the British Government will leave a great effect on UK visa fees for indian passport holders

News About UK Visa Fees In Indian Rupees 2018

  • UK visa service simplified in India

Indian customers can experience a more modern and digital visa service when it comes to applying for a UK visa due to improvements made by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), and VFS Global. The new online visa application system which is intuitive and simplified is part of UKVI’s continuing initiatives to transform the visa application journey for customers. It needs to be mentioned here that earlier Indian visa applicants applied for a UK visa via two separate websites namely, Gov.UK and VFS Global.

The new application which can be accessed via www.gov.uk allow visa applicants to access information about or opt for all visa services at the outset of their visa application. Apart from that, they will also have the option of using their smartphone, tablet or other camera/computing device to upload documentation before visiting the visa application centre. This facility would make sure that applicants need not carry the original documents to the application centre.

David Ratcliffe, Regional Director South and South East Asia, UK Visas and Immigration, said that the UKVI and VFS Global share a common goal which is to deliver efficient, secure visa service that places the customer’s experience at the heart of their operation. He added that the recent announcements serves that purpose as well as makes UKVI much more efficient and resilient. Vinay Malhotra, Regional Group Chief Operating Officer – Middle East, South Asia and China, VFS Global, was hopeful that the latest innovation will be the benchmark for visa application systems around the globe.

It is noteworthy to mention here that last year as many as 6, 30,000 Indian citizens applied for a UK visa. The number included over 4, 75,000 visit visas, which saw an increase of 43, 000. The increase recorded was the largest absolute for any country.
