Jordan Pass

The Jordan Pass is a single-fee package made available by the Jordan Tourism Board that entitles the purchaser to entry-fee-free access to all the major tourist attractions. Instead of paying separate entrance fees for each of the 40 tourist attractions in Jordan, including Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, and more, it offers discounted costs as part of the package. Additionally, if you use the Jordan Pass and remain in the country for a minimum of three nights or four days, you are exempt from paying the single-entry tourist visa fees.

Usually, for a Jordan visa Indians have to pay JOD 40 or JOD 56 (Approximately Rs.4,500) for visa-on-arrival. A JOD 10 (about Rs.1120) exit tax is also required at the border, with the exception of airports where it is typically already included in your flight ticket.

Jordan Visa-on-Arrival

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for a Jordan visa-on-arrival -

Step 1: Carry the required documents and travel to Jordan 

You will have to wait in line at the immigration or visa on arrival desk after you have landed in Jordan. Keep your documents ready for the application. 

Step 2: Wait in line at the immigration desk 

There will be a line, especially in the busy season. The immigration officer will ask you for your passport and any supporting documents to check them at the immigration counter or border control. If the officer confronts you about why you are in Jordan and why you are there, you must respond honestly. 

Step 3: Get the visa 

You will receive the VOA if the immigration officer is satisfied with your responses and the supporting documentation you provided. After completing all of this, the immigration officer will stamp your passport with the date of your admission, and you may then begin to enjoy your time in Jordan.

Jordan Visa Extension

You can extend your Jordan visa-on-arrival. You can do this by signing up at a Jordanian police station before your arrival-based visa expires. Upon registration, you were eligible for an extension of up to 60 days. A visa issued by an embassy may also be extended for up to 6 months. However, you must pay a fee before leaving the country if you overstay your visa without getting it extended at the Jordanian police station. Depending on how many days you stayed past your departure date, a fine will be assessed. JOD 1.5, or roughly Rs.160 per day, is the cost.
