FASTag is a Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology mandatory for all vehicles in India, affixed as a tag on the windshield. It enables instant toll payments directly from your linked savings, current, or prepaid account, allowing seamless travel through toll plazas on National Highways without needing to stop for cash transactions.
The Government of India has authorised 27 banks to issue and manage FASTag accounts. The list of these banks and their customer care numbers is provided below.

To apply for a FASTag, you'll need to provide a completed and signed application form from the issuing bank, along with the vehicle's Registration Certificate (RC) and a passport-sized photograph of the vehicle owner. Additionally, KYC documents are required based on the vehicle owner's category, and a valid driving license must be submitted. An optional photo of the vehicle can also be included.
With FASTag, there's no need to stop for toll payments, eliminating cash handling and the hassle of finding exact change. It saves travel time and fuel and links easily to your bank account for seamless transactions. FASTag can be recharged online through credit or debit card, UPI, NEFT, or net banking, with SMS alerts provided for toll transactions, account balance, and statements for added convenience.
