ICICI FASTag

The National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) programme, launched by NPCI in accordance with NHAI and IHMCL rules to enable simple toll payments, is the foundation of the ICICI Bank FASTag programme. Under this programme, the bank provides a small rectangular tag for toll collection at the toll plazas automatically. You can take advantage of cashless payment at toll plazas nationwide with this feature.

What is ICICI FASTag and How Does It Work?

At toll plazas, a small rectangular tag called a FASTag enables the automatic deduction of toll charges. The gadget is composed of premium paper, and among its layers are an antenna and microchip. It is immediately connected to a prepaid account from which the toll fee is deducted and operates via Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) technology. You can drive through a toll plaza without stopping and standing in line to pay with cash if you attach this sticker to your car. The tag is fastened to the car's windscreen upon the tag account's activation. Upon traversing a toll plaza via the designated FASTag lanes, the tag readers scan the data on the tag and subtract the relevant toll.

Features and Benefits of ICICI FASTag Program

Some of the main features and benefits of ICICI Bank’s FASTag are given below:

  1. If you have an active FASTag account, you can pay the necessary toll with cash without stopping at the toll plazas.
  2. You can recharge your tag account online by means of ICICI Credit Card, debit card, NEFT, RTGS, UPI, or net banking.
  3. The device is interoperable and thus you can use the same device at multiple toll stations that are integrated with the FASTag program.
  1. You will receive a FASTag customer portal from the bank, and you can log in at any time to view your account statement.
  2. You will receive SMS alerts on your bank-registered cellphone number for any transaction made on your FASTag account.
