Steps to generate Bank of India (BOI) ATM Pin

Bank of India offers its customers various methods to generate ATM PIN through online and offline services. The customers can generate, change or reset their Bank of India ATM PIN with easy and convenient steps.

What is Green Pin?

The 'Green PIN' service allows for instant PIN generation or regeneration for Debit Cards through an ATM, using a One Time Password (OTP) sent to the customer's registered mobile number. Customers can set their debit card PIN at any Bank of India ATM using this OTP.

Process for Generating Green PIN (Debit Card PIN) Using Bank of India ATM

Green PIN can be generated in the following cases:

  • Visit any ATM that belongs to Bank of India 
  • Put the debit card in, take it out, and choose the language you want 
  • Choose (Forgot / Create PIN) Green PIN 
  • Choose the Generate OTP option on the following screen 
  • Your registered mobile number will receive a 6-digit OTP 
  • Take out and replace the debit card 
  • Choose a language 
  • Choose (Forgot / Create PIN) Green PIN 
  • On the screen, choose the Validate OTP option 
  • Click Continue after entering the six-digit OTP 
  • Enter your preferred 4-digit PIN 
  • Enter the PIN again 
  • You will have successfully changed or created the new PIN after completing the aforementioned procedures. 

1. Generate ATM PIN via SMS

By following these instructions, you can use SMS to create a new ATM PIN for your Bank of India debit card: 

  • Text the following message to 567676 from your registered cellphone number 
  • SMS format: PIN, for example, PIN 1234 4567 
  • An OTP that is good for two days will be sent to you 
  • To generate your new PIN, visit the closest Bank of India ATM and verify the OTP. 

2. Generate ATM PIN via Customer Care

  • Use your registered mobile number to contact the Bank of India customer service line, 1800 103 1906 
  • Choose your preferred language, adhere to the directions, and select ATM and prepaid card services 
  • Choose the Green PIN generation option 
  • When prompted, enter the number from your debit card 
  • When prompted, enter the account number associated with the debit card 
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. To generate your new PIN, visit a Bank of India ATM to verify the OTP within two days. 

3. Generate ATM PIN Online Through Internet Banking

To generate the PIN through Bank of India Internet Banking, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your internet banking account with the necessary credentials.
  • From the main menu, select the option for card PIN.
  • Choose the option to generate a PIN and click on the debit card option.
  • Select the debit card for which you want to set the PIN and enter your 16-digit card number along with the CVV.
  • Enter the grid numbers printed at the back of the card and generate the OTP.
  • Enter the four-digit OTP received on your registered phone number and submit it.
  • Type your new PIN. You will receive confirmation of the PIN generation on your internet banking display, your registered phone number, and your registered email ID.

4. Generate an ATM PIN for Bank of India Using the Mobile banking 

Here are the steps to create a new PIN for your Bank of India debit card: 

  • Enter your login information to access the BOI Mobile app 
  • In the menu, tap the Card Services item 
  • Select Debit Card Services 
  • From the drop-down box, choose your account number 
  • When the debit card number shows up on the screen, tap it. The card's final four numbers will be visible 
  • Select Generate / Reset PIN 
  • Click Verify after entering the OTP that was sent to your registered mobile number 
  • After entering and verifying your new four-digit PIN, click Submit 
  • Enter the Transaction Password you generated during your Mobile Banking registration 
  • Your BOI debit card will be successfully authorized once you have finished the procedures

What to do if you forget your PIN

  • Clients have multiple options to change their Bank of India ATM PIN. They can do so by visiting the nearest ATM, sending an SMS, calling customer care, or using internet banking.
