Domestic natural gas price slashed in India

The domestic natural gas prices in India dropped to $7.82 per million British thermal unit (mmBtu) on 1 January 2024, from $8.47 per mmBtu recorded in December. This decrease in domestic gas price marks the lowest price of domestic natural gas in India as compared to July 2023. As per the statement from the Petroleum & Natural Gas Ministry, the new prices will be effective from 1 January 2024 up to 31 January 2024. There have been minor changes in prices of 19-kg cylinders as well.
