Modern Dohori and folk songs for Nepali society are based on Bhanubhakta's straightforward Ramayana. Dohori is an example of how rhythm is used in songs and dialects. Bhanu Bhakta has been given the title of "Adhikavi" or "First Poet" in Sikkim. This day honours Nepali culture and literature.
