Eligibility Criteria

This scheme is applicable to mature women falling into the following categories: 

1. Families belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC). 
2. Families belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST). 
3. Beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). 
4. Most Backward Classes. 
5. Beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY).

8. Individuals residing on Islands and River Islands.

Documents Required 

To enroll in PMUY, you need to submit the following documents: 

1. Ration Card. 
2. A Self-Declaration as per Annexure I (for applicants who are migrants) or a Know Your Customer (KYC) Ration Card issued by the state where the application is being made.

Benefits provided under PMUY 

The benefits provided under PMUY are given below: 

1. The Indian government extends financial assistance through PMUY connections, offering Rs.1,600 for a 14.2 kg cylinder and Rs.1,150 for a 5 kg cylinder. 
2. Security deposits for cylinders are as follows:  

1. Rs.800 for a 5 kg cylinder and Rs.1,250 for a 14.2 kg cylinder.
