The RuPay Debit card offered by RBL Bank is a basic debit card designed to give just about anyone access to the benefits of a debit card. The card has lower daily caps on withdrawal and purchase limits. Cardholders will be entitled to receive complimentary insurance against accidental death and disability. The debit card is secured with a PIN so that all your transactions are safe and cannot be carried out without your authorisation. You can also sign up for SMS alerts that will keep you informed about all transactions carried out with your RuPay debit card.
Features of RBL Bank RuPay Debit Card
The card is valid only for domestic use.
You will have access to any ATM across India. You can withdraw up to Rs.1,000 per day.
Shop with your card for up to Rs.10,000 per day. This is inclusive of ATM withdrawals. The limit on the card is a combination of ATM withdrawals and purchase transactions.
You can use your card to shop online or carry out other financial transactions.
To set your PIN, you simply need to send an SMS to RBL Bank from your registered mobile number.
Get insurance of Rs.1 lakh against accidents and disability. You can claim this insurance if you have carried out at least one transaction at an ATM, POS, Ecommerce site or a Micro ATM in the last 45 or 90 days prior to the accident or permanent disability.
You will receive alerts via SMS and Email that will keep you informed about transactions made on your debit card.
The card is PIN based. For all transactions, you need to verify and confirm it with your PIN.
How to apply
In order to be eligible for this debit card, you need to open a bank account with RBL Bank. You can do so by visiting the nearest RBL Bank branch. You can either download the account opening form online or procure one at the branch. Submit the duly-filled form along with the documents required. In your application form, you need to select the debit card you wish to get with the bank account. Once your bank account is open, RBL Bank will issue your debit card.
To open a savings account with RBL Bank, you need to submit a recent passport photograph along with the following documents:

Can I cancel this RBL Bank RuPay Debit Card?
Yes, you can cancel the debit card by requesting the bank to do so at the branch or via the customer care. You can also close your bank account at no charge. If you close your account within 6 months from the date of opening, you will be charged Rs.500.
What should I do if I have lost my debit card?
Inform RBL Bank immediately by calling the customer care service. Your card will be blocked. You can then request for a replacement card at a fee of Rs.50.

All claims forms are available on the RBL Bank website. You can also procure a form at an RBL Bank branch.
How do I avail the offers and discounts on my debit card?
To get the discounts or offers available on your debit card, simply inform the merchant that you wish to avail the offer by paying the bill with your RBL Bank debit card. Some offers require a promo code which is available on the RBL Bank website.
