Triumph Looking To Surpass Previous Year’s Sales by FY2017
Triumph Motorcycles is looking to surpass its India sales for the previous year by the end of the current financial year. The company, which launched its motorcycles in India in late 2013, has been making steady progress in the mid to high-end bike segment. The company recorded sales of 1,200 bikes in the previous year.
It has sold around 659 units for the period April-September 2016, and its new target is 1,400 units sold by the end of the financial year 2016-17.
The company currently sells about 16 models in India through its 14 dealerships countrywide. It is looking at introducing new models and increasing its dealership network.
With the rise of high-end bike brands like Triumph, the number of two wheeler insurance policies being sold for higher cubic capacity bikes will see a marked increase.
