      Hosur-based two wheeler manufacturer TVS has recorded a sales growth of over 12% for the month of October. This is a massive 12% growth to that of the firm’s sales figure recorded the previous year.

      The company has sold over 3,08,690 units in October 2016 as opposed to 2,74,622 units during the october of 2015.

      Among two wheelers, the company’s growth increased by 15.1% this October. During this period the TVS sold 3,03,885 units as opposed to 2,72,229 the previous year.

      Three wheeler sales however took a dip from 10,510 units to 4,805 this October. TVS also saw a decrease in export sales which reduced to 35,134 units when compared to sales of 41,682 last October.

      The TVS Motor Company, which is the third largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in the nation, has set a target for itself which is to capture and dominate at least 12% of the 110-cc scooter segment.

      The company seems well on its way to achieve that goal as its new offering, the Jupiter, has set a record for being the fastest 110-cc scooter to record 1 million units sold. The bike was launched in 2014, and has soared in terms of sales.
