    Piaggio and C. SpA are an Italian company engaged in the manufacture of two wheelers as well as commercial vehicles. The company is headquartered in Pontedera, Italy and has been in operation since its establishment in 1884 by Sestri Ponete.

    • Aprilia to launch a new scooter from the SR lineup in 2017

      After successfully launching the sporty-looking SR 150 in the Indian market, Italian auto manufacturer Aprilia is setting itself up to launch new scooters in the SR lineup.

      The Piaggio-owned two-wheeler manufacturer has reportedly been quite impressed by the kind of response the SR 150 has been garnering from Indian motorcyclists and is hoping to capitalise on the positive outlook of the company.

      Stefano Pelle, CEO and MD of Piaggio India, spoke about the news and said that the company is working towards launching a new scooter around January 2015.

      When questioned about the appearance and performance of the new SR scooter, Mr. Pelle candidly answered and asked the media to expect a more peppier version of the SR 150.

      The SR 150 currently being sold in the market is the fastest scooter in the country, courtesy of its 150cc engine and a power output of 11.4 bhp. Existing and upcoming SR models will be sold through exclusive Piaggio Motoplexes around cities like Pune, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Chennai while the company is expected to open two more dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi

    • Piaggio to Launch Vespa GTS 300 in India by End of 2016

      Italian two-wheeler manufacturer, Piaggio, has announced plans to launch the Vespa GTS 300 in India. The scooter will be introduced in India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and is expected to be priced over Rs 2 lakh.

      Powered by a 278cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine with automatic transmission system, the Vespa GTS 300 currently the most powerful and also the most premium scooter from the house of Piaggio. Some of the fresh new features to be seen on the new Vespa include chrome rear view mirrors, matte body finish, a sporty step up seat, pass by switch.

    • Italian Automaker Piaggio Planning to Launch The Vespa GTS 300 Shortly

      Piaggio is gearing up to launch the Vespa GTS 300 in India shortly. First showcased during the 2014 Auto Expo, it is likely to be the most powerful offering from the Italian Auto Maker in the country so far.

      With a displacement of 278cc, the single cylinder engine will produce a maximum power of 21bhp with a peak torque of 22.3Nm. This premium offering from Piaggio will contain an analogue-digital instrument cluster and will be offered with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as a standard feature. Slated to be launched in India later this year, it will be the sixth model to be launched in the country.

They have given a value of the bike is Rs. 55K.

      When I purchased the Honda Activa bike at that time they provided an insurance. It is a one year policy. One of my friend is working there so he will takes care of my policy. If anything goes wrong,they will recover 70% to 80% of the damage, remaining 20% from my end.I am planning to renew the policy again with National Insurance.

      I have chosen HDFC Ergo for good IDV and zero dep features. The customer service was pretty much good. The claim experience was not good, few of the times it was not covered. Till last year benefits are pretty much good, due to RBI changes now the premium has gone up. I paid around 5K for one year.
