Multi-Year Bike Insurance Policy For Suzuki Bikes

The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IRDA) observed that a large number of two-wheeler owners in the country are riding without a valid two-wheeler insurance policy. Most people do not renew their bike insurance policies on time and ride uninsured on risky Indian roads. To encourage vehicle owners to buy and renew insurance policies in a timely manner, the IRDA has now allowed insurance agencies to offer multi-year motor insurance for a period up to 3 years. A long-term insurance policy has several advantages. First of all, it saves you from the hassles of annual policy renewals and also help you save expenses on insurance to a certain extent. Following are some of the other advantages.

  • Annual policy renewal not required for a period of 2/3 years
  • Lower Premium
  • No effects on premium due to inflation
  • No risk of policy lapse for 2/3 years
  • No Claim Bonus (NCB)

Suzuki Bike Insurance Policy FAQ's:

  1. Q: On what basis do I choose the two wheeler insurance for my Suzuki two wheeler?

A: The model, price and type of vehicle you buy will decide the premium, IDV and deductibles you must pay as well as what insurance coverage you must take. You must also consider your commute, engine capacity, electrical parts, etc. as well.

For example, you should be getting a more expensive insurance cover if you are going for a Suzuki sports model because they are heavy and more complex than the smaller versions. They are also typically used for mountain biking, racing and they are used for long distance tours. This increases the risk and would need a complete coverage like Bumper-to-Bumper policies which will cover all the expenses due to damage.

  2. Q: What can I get insurance discount for?

A:You must contact the insurance company to see which discounts you are eligible to get. You can get discounts for the following:

    1. Zero Depreciation
    2. Bi Fuel Kit
    3. Professional Discount
    4. Non Electrical Accessories
    5. Personal Accident Cover
    6. Automobile Association
    7. Anti Theft
    8. Voluntary Deductible

News About Suzuki Two Wheeler Insurance

  • Revenues of Suzuki India to beat parent organisation in Japan

India is all set to become a bigger market for the Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) than its home market, Japan. The Indian subsidiary is currently ahead of SMC Japan in the sale of vehicles, and is witnessing a capacity constraint leading to extended waiting periods for some models. In the last two years, the revenue of SMC Japan grew only by 2% to stand at $9.29 billion, whereas the sales in India rose by 33% to reach $8.69 billion.

In Q1 of this financial year, the revenue of SMC Japan grew by 1.1% to touch an equivalent of Rs. 15,625 crore. Net sales of Maruti Suzuki grew by 12% in the same quarter to stand at Rs. 14,654 crore. The two-wheeler quarterly revenue in India was Rs. 500 crore. SMC is yet to announce its results for Q2, but it is known that there has been a decline in production in Japan arising from reduced sales.

The commencement of manufacture at the new Gujarat plant is expected to ease the capacity constraint that is being experienced now.
