Vehicle dealers in Chhattisgarh are authorised to help customers in two-wheeler registration. The vehicles will be enrolled through the Online Dealer Point registration system. The vehicle owner will have to pay the necessary taxes and fees and will receive the temporary registration number. Once all the submitted documents are verified, the RC Smart Card will be sent to the vehicle owner. The documents required for two-wheeler registration in Chhattisgarh are as listed below:

Dealer Point Registration For A New Vehicle
Just like a two wheeler insurance or a car insurance, vehicle registration is also mandatory in India. The dealers are authorised to collect the necessary documents from the customers and complete the vehicle registration process. They can enroll the vehicle through the Online Dealer Point registration system, pay the necessary taxes and fees, and assign you a temporary vehicle registration number. Once the RTO verifies and approves your documents, they will send the RC Smart Card to your registered address via post. Below is the list of documents required for the purpose:
- Duly-filled CMV Form 20 along with the imprint of engine number and chassis number
- Sales certificate in CMV Form 21 issued by the dealer of the vehicle
- Roadworthiness certificate in Form 22 provided by the vehicle manufacturer

- Address proof of vehicle owner
- Form 34 attested by the vehicle owner and the vehicle financer (in case of hypothecation)

CG Transport Validity And Effectiveness of Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- A vehicle Registration Certificate is valid across India.
- For private/non-transport vehicles, a Registration Certificate is valid for 15 years post which it must be renewed in an interval of five years.
- For transport vehicles, a Registration Certificate remains valid only for a period of two years, post which, a vehicle fitness certificate must be obtained by the vehicle owner every year from the DTO/RTO/Registering Authority.

Recording of Change of Address In Vehicle RC Book
