IMPS, otherwise known as Immediate Payment Service is an instant electronic fund transfer service that facilitates bank-to-bank fund transfers. HDFC also offers its customers the IMPS service via its MobileBanking and NetBanking platforms.
Using IMPS, not only you can send money to an account held not only to another HDFC bank account but also to an account held with an IMPS participating bank. This service is available on all days of the week and allows for instant credit or funds to the beneficiary's account.

You can get your MPIN b calling the bank's phone banking customer care department who will send you your MPIN by the next working day.
IMPS transactions up to Rs.1,000 are free. Beyond that the following charges are levied:
· Rs.1,001 to Rs.1 lakh - Rs.5
· Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2 lakh - Rs.10
