This salary account is a zero-balance account and comes with the benefits of a free Accidental Death Cover up to Rs.6 lakh and an International Air Accident Death Cover up to Rs.30 lakh.

Yes, all you need to do is take a letter from your employer to your local HDFC Bank. The letter should contain your name, account number, date of joining and basically a confirmation that you are now a member of the organisation.
