What is a Masked Aadhaar?

You can conceal your Aadhaar number in your downloaded e-Aadhaar using the Mask Aadhaar option. Masked Aadhaar numbers are created by substituting the first eight digits of the Aadhaar number with characters such as "xxxx-xxxx," leaving only the final four digits exposed. Your photo, demographic information, QR code, and other features will all be available when you download this version of your Aadhaar. As this card is signed by UIDAI, you won’t have to worry about it being accepted or legible. Masked Aadhaar is great if you just have to use your card as an identity proof.
