Significance of Checking PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Beneficiary Status

It is important to check the beneficiary status of PM Kisan scheme to track various aspect of Kisan profile and the vital aspects that should be tracked are mentioned below:

Clarity on Payments: The PM-KISAN scheme provides Rs.6,000 per year in three installments of Rs.2,000 each. The payments are typically disbursed every four months. By checking the status, a farmer can see which installments have been successfully credited to their account, which ones are pending, and if there are any that have been delayed.

Preventing Financial Shortfall: Knowing the payment schedule allows farmers to plan their agricultural and domestic expenses accordingly. If a pending installment is delayed, they can anticipate the shortfall and manage their finances to avoid disruptions to their farming cycle, such as buying seeds or fertilizers.

Official Portal and Mobile App: The government has made this process convenient by providing an official portal (pmkisan.gov.in) and a mobile app. On these platforms, farmers can use their registration number, Aadhaar number, or mobile number to quickly access their beneficiary status and view a history of all installment payments.

Farmers can check their beneficiary status through the “Know Your Status” section on the PM-Kisan portal using their registration number. If the registration number is not available, it can be retrieved using the Aadhaar number or mobile number linked with the account.
