If you are scouring the internet to look for the latest bikes and scooters that are set to hit Indian roads in the near future, look no further. Here's a list of the best two wheelers that will enter Indian streets:
Priced at around Rs.1.7 lacs, the Kratos 400 from Bajaj has been renamed from its original brand of Pulsar VS400. This sports cruiser is expected to be released in November and is expected to use the same powertrain that is found in the KTM Duke 390, and is said to be a great option for those who prefer sports bikes.
Priced between Rs.60,000 and Rs.70,000, the Dare 125 was first unveiled by Hero MotoCorp at the 12th edition of Auto Expo a couple of years ago. Targeted at male riders, the Dare 125 will come with a 124.6cc engine to offer maximum power, and torque of 9.8Nm at 6,500 RPM and 9.38bhp at 7,500 RPM.
The Vespa GTS 300 from Piaggio is made available for Rs.4 lacs, and the premium scooter is expected to be among the more expensive non-geared bikes in the country. Stylish and trendy, this scooter is powered by a 278cc, single cylinder engine.
TVS Motorcycle Company has partnered with German auto giant BMW to produce the BMW G 310 R. The two wheeler is expected to be launched in 2017, and rumours suggest that it will be available in a metallic Strato blue colour. The bike was first seen at the Auto Expo in 2016, and no major changes are in order since the event, except for a few cosmetic fitments.
Naked bikes are in higher demand at the moment than they have ever been before. The release of bikes such as the Honda CB Triger, Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0 and Suzuki Gixxer 155 has urged Bajaj to manufacture its own two wheeler to cater to the increasing needs of the market and give the public another option from which to choose. The Pulsar 150 NS is expected to have the same engine and design as the 200 NS, but it is expected to be manufactured on a perimeter frame to distinguish it from the other model. This bike is expected to be available for purchase between Rs.70,000 and Rs.75,000.
Priced between Rs.1.5 and Rs.2 lacs, the Hero HX250R is expected to form part of a renowned group of superbikes that have made giant strides in the Indian two wheeler industry.
The Hero ZIR 150, which is available for purchase between Rs.75,000 and Rs.90,000 was first unveiled at the Auto Expo in 2014, and the scooter is expected to be available in two variants - the European-style step-through and the flat floorboard. The Hero ZIR shall be powered by a 157cc single cylinder engine which comes with a liquid cooling system, 2-valve and 4-stroke engine.
These are some of the bikes that many individuals across the country are looking forward to. While the release dates are not mentioned for most of the two wheelers, all of these vehicles are expected to hit the market.
