    The 3-digit mileage that the motorcycle offers is a result of Hero's patented 'i3s' technology that stands for 'Idle Start Stop System'. To simply put, it puts off the engine when the vehicle is in the idle position for a certain time, such as halting at a signal. The engine restarts as soon as you pull the clutch. This helps in improving the overall fuel efficiency of the two-wheeler.

    The bike comes packed with a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine and has an ex-showroom price of Rs 50,255 (New Delhi).

    Bajaj CT100

    Bajaj's tried and tested offering - The CT100 surely gives a tough competition to some of the best bikes in the mileage bike segment. The ever growing sales figures of this bike is the testimony of its popularity.

    The bike manufacturer claims a fuel efficiency of 99.1 kmpl for Bajaj CT100. One of the other contenders of the CT100 is Bajaj's another offering - Platina 100ES, which offers a bit more torque and is costlier than the CT100.

    The motorcycle packs a 99.2cc single-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 8 bhp and a maximum torque of 8.05 Nm. CT100B, the basic model in the series does not features a round headlamp against the faired headlight. The CT100 comes with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs.35,389 (New Delhi).     Bajaj Platina ComforTec

    Bajaj Platina ComforTec or Bajaj Platina ES100 is a name that has been around in the commuter bike segment for over 10 years now. The Bajaj Platina has always seen great enthusiasm from the buyers. What the Platina gets in contrast with the CT100 is the DTS-I twin-spark technology which is currently referred to as 'ComforTec'. By improving the fuel combustion, the feature enables the 102cc engine of the Platina 100ES to churn out a maximum torque of 8.6 Nm compared to the 8.05 Nm torque offered by the CT100. However, the maximum power offered by both the bikes remain 8 bhp. The name 'ES' stands for 'Electric Start' which comes standard with the bike.     TVS Sport has been able to successfully establish its brand name in the commuter bike segment. The recently updated version of the bike comes with an electric start, instrument cluster, aluminium grab rails and more. It also got an upgrade to improve its fuel efficiency.

    The DuraLife technology used in the engine increases the longevity of the engine and enhances the performance of the vehicle. Promising a per litre mileage of 95 kmpl, TVS Sport is powered by a single-cylinder 99.7cc engine that churns out a maximum power of 7.7 bhp and a maximum torque of 7.8 NM. The bike is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs.37,780 (New Delhi).

    Hero Splendor Pro

    The Splendor Pro is another offering from the Hero MotoCorp which offers great fuel efficiency and reliability. Packed with a single cylinder, 97.2cc, air-cooled engine, the Splendor Pro produces a power of 8.2 bhp and a maximum torque of 8.05 Nm. The claimed per litre mileage offered by the two-wheeler is 93.2 km. The bike is priced at Rs.47,680 (ex-showroom price, New Delhi).

    Hero also offers Splendor Pro Classic, which which unquestionably stands out from the different offerings in this category.

      I did not have any claim experience with National two wheeler insurance. I have not spoke with the customer care service as of now. I made a premium amount of Rs. 1400 for one year. The reason for selecting the National insurance is when i purchase a bike from dealer who provided the policy with National and i'm continuing the same. They have given a value of the bike is Rs. 55K.

      When I purchased the Honda Activa bike at that time they provided an insurance. It is a one year policy. One of my friend is working there so he will takes care of my policy. If anything goes wrong,they will recover 70% to 80% of the damage, remaining 20% from my end.I am planning to renew the policy again with National Insurance.

      I took a two wheeler insurance with Iffco Tokio. I am not satisfied with the service and benefits. I have contacted the customer support many times but there was no proper response. The claim experience is not good. I met an accident and the repairing charges of 6K but they have refunded me 2K. I paid 2200 rupees to purchase the policy for a year.

      Earlier I had Bajaj allianz bike insurance, now it got expired. Dealer gave me the insurance while I was purchasing the policy. The insurer gave me 100% of coverage, there was no claim experience. Comparatively I felt ICICI lombard is best than Bajaj Allianz.

      I have chosen HDFC Ergo for good IDV and zero dep features. The customer service was pretty much good. The claim experience was not good, few of the times it was not covered. Till last year benefits are pretty much good, due to RBI changes now the premium has gone up. I paid around 5K for one year.
