PM Cares Fund - Donate Online

Prime Minister National Relief Fund (PMNRF) was started entirely with public contribution and receives no budgetary support whatsoever. The relief fund accepts contribution from individuals, firms, trusts, institutions, companies etc.

If you donate any amount to the relief fund, you also get to enjoy certain benefits that is the contribution made by you is exempted from Income Tax under Section 80(G).

The contributions made to the relief fund has been used many times to provide support to the victims of floods, cyclones, other natural calamities etc. and has also borne the medical expenses of needy people who need treatment for heart surgery, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment, acid attack, etc.

Coronavirus has created a havoc in India which has forced the government to lockdown the movement of people. As doctors work hard to help patients who have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has asked people to donate to PM Cares Fund so that the amount can be used to purchase medical kits for doctors and nurses and provide testing kits.

Steps to transfer funds to PM Cares Fund:

  1. Visit the official website of PM Cares Fund by clicking on the link https://pmnrf.gov.in/
  2. On the home page, you will be able to locate ‘Donate Online’ option on the top of the menu. Click on it
  3. You can either make a contribution by paying though BHIM/UPI. You can send your contribution to the UPI address pmnrf@centralbank or simply scan the QR code on the website to complete the payment
  4. You can also contribute by filling the online donation form on the website by providing your name, email ID, phone number, country, state, district, pin code, and address. Click on ‘Continue
  5. Confirm your details in the confirmation screen
  6. You will then see the list of modes of payment. Choose one mode of payment which you feel is suitable for you.
  7. Complete the payment. You can save the e-receipt for future reference

How to check my transaction history?

If you or your associates have made donations to PM Cares Fund, you can check its status by providing certain details by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website of PM Cares Fund by clicking on the link https://pmnrf.gov.in/
  2. On the home page, you will be able to locate ‘Transaction History’ option on the top of the menu. Click on it
  3. You can know the contribution history by either providing the mobile number or email ID, where in both the cases a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the given mobile number and email ID once you click ‘Generate OTP’. Enter the OTP, and the security text in the box. You will then be able to check the transaction history

    2. Contribution can be sent to Prime Minister’s Office, South Block, New Delhi through money or post order from any of the post offices in India
    3. Contribution can be made online through banks collection portal
    4. Contribution can be made through portal of PMO that is pmindia.gov.in
  • Can I make a donation in foreign currency to PMNRF?
    • Yes, you can make a donation in foreign currency to PMNRF by sending the amount to PMNRF A/c in Central Bank of India, 66, Janpath, New Delhi-110001, A/c No. 1226769846, IFSC Code – CBIN0280318, SWIFT Code – CBININBBJAN . Once the donation has been made, you will have to send the following details to the email ID pmnrf@gov.in:

      • address

      • transaction reference number
      • amount remitted in foreign currency & in Indian National Rupees (INR)

  • Does the website submit the transaction information in secure mode?

    Yes, the PMNRF website submits the information over Secure Socket Layer (SSL). The transactions made by you towards the account is extremely safe and secure.
