How To Link Aadhaar With Your SBI Bank Account

While the Aadhaar card is required to open new bank accounts, existing SBI savings account holders can link their Aadhaar details in the ways mentioned below.

Using ATM

Visit any SBI ATM to link your SBI account with your bank account. Insert your debit card in the ATM > Enter your pin > Select ‘Service – Registrations’ from the menu > Select ‘Aadhaar Registration’ or ‘Aadhaar Inquiry’ as per your requirement.

Select account type and enter your Aadhar card number. You will be asked to confirm your Aadhaar number by re-entering the same.

Using SBI Internet Banking

If you are a registered user of SBI Internet Banking, you may login to the SBI website. Under ‘My Account’, go to ‘Link your Aadhaar number’. You will be redirected to another page where you will be required to enter your account number and Aadhaar number. Click ‘Submit’ after filling in the details. The screen will display the last two digits of your registered mobile number.

At The SBI Branch

You may visit any SBI branch with a Xerox copy of your e-Aadhaar or Aadhar number. You will be required to submit a request form which you can obtain from the branch. Post verification, your Aadhaar will be linked with your account number and an SMS notification will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Once you submit your request through the above-mentioned channels, SBI bank will verify your Aadhaar number with the UIDAI. In case of any issues, the customer will be notified through SMS and they would be required to visit their nearest SBI branch along with their Aadhaar number.

Through SBI Anywhere App
