    HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account FAQs

    1. I wish to open a joint HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account. Is it possible? What are the requirements?
    2. Yes, it is possible. For that to happen, the secondary account holder (who you will be sharing the account with) will have to submit his/her KYC documents for identification and address proof.

    3. If I choose a nominee will it be the case forever or can I remove him/her?
    4. Yes, you can remove a nominee from the HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account as per your wishes. To make this happen, you can fill in an application and submit it at the nearest HDFC Bank branch or you can do it via your netbanking account.

    5. Can I use this reimbursement account if I change employers? Do I need to change the account in this case?
    6. No, you can continue with the same account provided you submit a letter from your new employer stating your name, designation in the company, account number and a statement (in the letter) proving that you are indeed an employee of the company. Once this is submitted, you will receive your monthly payroll in the same account.

    7. What do I need to submit as identification and address proof? Is my company ID good enough?
    8. No, your company ID will not be accepted as identity or address proof. For this account and most other accounts with HDFC Bank, you will need to submit Government approved identification and address proof when applying to open the account.

    9. This will be my second zero-balance account with HDFC Bank? Are there any ruled stating that I cannot have more than one zero-balance account?
    10. As per the guidelines rolled out by the Reserve Bank of India, you can have only one zero-balance account with one bank at a time. Hence, opening a second zero-balance account will not be possible.
