Features and Benefits of HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account
- As already mentioned, the HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account is a zero balance account. In other words, with this account there is no minimum balance requirement.
- Customers can easily distinguish between the reimbursement account and the salary account. They can choose from which account they would wish to carry out a transaction at online or retail merchant establishments or make a withdrawal from ATMs.
- On opening the account, customers are granted a free chequebook.

To be eligible for the HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account, customers need to have an existing salary account.
Steps to open the HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account
- As already mentioned, the customer first needs to have an existing salary account with HDFC Bank to be able to open a reimbursement bank.
- Once the employer has opened a salary account, the customer can now visit the HDFC Bank holding the salary account with an Account Opening Document (AOD).
- On the Account Opening Document (AOD), the customer will be required to enter details such as the salary account number (to which the reimbursement account will be linked to) and the debit card number - which was issued when opening the salary account.
- As soon as the Account Opening Document (AOD) is verified by the bank, the process to open a reimbursement account will begin.
- The reimbursement account will be activated within a few days.
- Once the account has been opened, the customer can request his/her company to directly process the reimbursement dues to this account.

Yes, you can remove a nominee from the HDFC Bank Reimbursement Account as per your wishes. To make this happen, you can fill in an application and submit it at the nearest HDFC Bank branch or you can do it via your netbanking account.
No, you can continue with the same account provided you submit a letter from your new employer stating your name, designation in the company, account number and a statement (in the letter) proving that you are indeed an employee of the company. Once this is submitted, you will receive your monthly payroll in the same account.
