The SMS service is simple, easy to apply for and understand. With the SMS facility, a customer can avail of a number of different services that are offered by the bank. A customer can check the balance of his/her Savings Account, request a mini statement, check the status of a cheque, receive OTPs for online transactions, etc.

This application is designed to ensure that security is a priority while using this facility. When an SMS is sent from a mobile number, the system will verify if the last four digits of the bank account that has been mentioned in the message matches the bank account of the customer. If the last four digits match, a response to the message will be sent to the customer's registered mobile number. If the last four digits do not match, no response will be sent.

  1. A customer of Bank of Baroda can avail a number of services like requesting for balance enquiry, cheque status, etc.
  2. A customer who has a mobile number registered to the account will not have to register separately for the SMS banking service
  3. Registering for this service is simple and does not require any documents for submission

Using the SMS Banking service:

If a customer belonging to Bank of Baroda decides to use the SMS Banking facility, the customer only needs to send an SMS with the keywords corresponding to your request. These messages with keywords should be sent to 5616150 and you will be charged Rs.3 for each message sent.
