Property Tax SDMC

If you reside in South Delhi and has a property of your own, then you will have to pay property tax. The property tax is paid to South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC). The payment of tax can be done both online and offline.

Steps to Pay your SDMC Property Tax

You can pay your property tax both online and offline. We will list down the methods through which you can complete the payment of your property tax to SDMC.

Online Method

  1. Visit the official website of SDMC by clicking on this link https://mcdonline.nic.in/sdmcportal/.
  2. Click on the ‘sign up’ button and get yourself registered by filling the form and submitting it.
  3. Using your login credentials, log in to the customer portal of SDMC.
  4. Once you have logged in, get your property registered by providing your Unique Property Identification Number (UPIC).
  5. If you don’t know the UPIC number, then you can apply for one on the website and get your property registered.
  6. The final step is to select the property on which you want to pay the property tax. Compute the property tax you have to pay.
  7. Make the payment and save the receipt in a pdf format which you can use later for future reference.

Alternative method

  1. Visit the official website of SDMC by clicking on this link https://mcdonline.nic.in/sdmcportal/.
  2. Under ‘Online Services’, click on ‘Property Tax’.
  3. Under ‘Citizen Login’, provide your registered mobile number. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP and login.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the payment of SDMC property tax.

Offline

You can pay your SDMC property tax offline by visiting ITZ cash counters in South Delhi. The payment can be done through cash, cheque, demand draft, debit card, credit card, etc. You can also pay the SDMC property tax by visiting the nearest branch of HDFC Bank, Axis Bank or the nearest Customer Service Bureau Centre.

  • South Delhi Municipal Corporation decides not to increase property tax

    According to the chairman of South Delhi Municipal Corporation, the property tax will not be increased by the civic body. According to the chairman, kiosks and ATMs will be installed and yoga classes will be launched in its parks at a nominal fee. As per the budget proposals, a proposal was put forward to introduce two categories of property taxes instead of the three that currently exist. Commissioners make the municipal budgets. Doorstep collection of the property tax has also been started from the financial year 2021-22.
