In case you own land or property in North Delhi, you must pay property tax to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC). The process to pay the tax is simple and can be completed both offline and online.

NDMC Property Tax Payment steps

The different methods by which you can pay the NDMC property tax are mentioned below:

Online Method:

  • Click on ‘Online Services’.
  • Under the ‘Property Tax’ option, you find ‘Citizen Login’, click on it.
  • Next, enter your mobile number and click on ‘Generate OTP’.
  • Enter the OTP and click on ‘Login’.
  • On the next page, you will find the option to pay the NDMC property tax.

However, you must complete the registration process before you can make the property tax payment online.

Offline Method:

You can pay the NDMC property tax by visiting any of the ITZ cash counters in North Delhi. The payment can be made via credit card, debit card, cheque, and cash.

  • NDMC roll out scheme to offer relief in payment of property tax for residents living within Lal Dora and other areas

    On Thursday, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) rolled out a scheme that aims to offer relief to people living in areas falling within Lal Dora and several unauthorized regularised colonies, and houses allotted to displaced Kashmiris with regard to payment of due property tax. The decision comes following the recent approval of the proposal by the BJP-led NDMC House. Under the scheme, those residing in the above-mentioned areas will have to pay the property tax for the 2021-22 financial year, and the preceding due tax will be waived off. For owners of non-residential properties in the unauthorized colonies, preceding due tax will be waived off if they pay the property tax for the financial years 2021-22; 2020-21 and 2019-20. It needs to be mentioned that the scheme shall remain operational till the end of next month.

  • No property tax for houses up to 50 square metres in NMCD residents

    In a huge relief to the resident of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD), the body has decided to approve the proposal to exempt houses up to 50 square metres from paying property tax. The proposal is also believed to be aimed with the purpose of gaining support for the party in the civic elections scheduled early next year.
    The decision will benefit around3 lakh property owners, as residential properties up to 50 square metres including those in approved colonies, rural areas and even unauthorised colonies, will be exempted from paying property tax to the corporation. The notification will come into effect by the next financial year.
    The decision will be brought into effect to help in providing provide relief to the economically weaker sections who have been impacted the most due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

  • NDMC property tax last date extended to 31 August

    The mayor of North Delhi, Raja Iqbal Singh has recently announced that the NDMC has extended the last date for the payment of property tax with a rebate of 15% along with the 3% COVID-19 vaccination incentive for the year of 2021-22.
    The date for the repayment of the NDMC property tax has been extended to 31 August 2021.

This will make the process efficient and also more simple. It will work very efficiently for services like mutation, amalgamation, self-assessment of property tax, and bifurcation, vacancy remission, and property tax return.

  • North MCD offering property tax rebate for taking Covid vaccine

    Households that show certification that those currently eligible for Covid shot in their families are vaccinated will be offered additional tax rebate of 5 percent while filing property tax for this fiscal year. This was informed by North MCD after an order was passed on Friday in a bid to boost Covid immunisation figures. All residential property owners residing within the jurisdiction of the NDMC will be able to avail this rebate till 30 June 2021. It needs to be mentioned here that in North MCD areas, residential owners are already eligible for a 15 percent rebate in property tax if it is paid in lump sum by the mentioned date.
