Those who wish to go for fixed deposits (FDs) with the bank can choose from the range of options including the Synd Tax Shield Deposit, Syndicate Suvidha Deposit, regular and senior citizen schemes. Syndicate Bank fixed deposits pay lucrative interest rates and gives customers other benefits as well. The highest FD rate paid by the bank as of now is 6.75% p.a. for a tenure that is from anywhere from 1 year to 2 years. The highest rate paid for senior citizens by the bank is 7.25% p.a. for the same investment period.

    Given below is the revised list of fixed deposit rates offered by the bank for regular and senior citizen deposits as updated on 10 February, 2018:

    • The fixed deposit interest rate on short tenures range from 4.75% p.a. to 6.25% p.a.
    • The highest bank rate in this type of deposit scheme is 6.25% p.a. for 180 days to 364 days
    • The next best rate of interest paid is 6.00% p.a. for an investment tenure that ranges from 61 days to 179 days
    • For 46 day to 60 days the bank rate is 5.50% p.a. and for 31 days to 45 days the bank rate is 5.00% p.a.
    • The period of investment could be from a minimum of 7 days to less than 1 year

    • The tenure of investment can be from 1 year to less than 5 years for medium-term fixed deposits

    Syndicate Bank long-term FDs

    • The bank rate that can be earned from this type of FD is 6.50% p.a.
    • The investment tenure is anywhere from 5 years to 10 years
    • The tax saver term deposit scheme is for a tenure of a minimum of 5 years

    Syndicate Bank senior citizen FDs

    • Interest is paid at an additional rate of 0.50% to all depositors who are aged 60 and above by the bank
    • The interest rate is from 5.25% p.a. to 7.25% p.a.
    • The most high-paying FD rate for pensioners is 7.25% p.a. for 365 days to 2 years
    • You can fetch an interest rate of 7.10% p.a. for all deposits that are held for more than 2 years to less than 5 years
