    PNB Housing Finance Limited (PNB HFL), also known as PNB Housing, offers housing loans and also accepts deposits from the public. They provide a wide range of FD options that come with a much higher rate of interest. The PNB HFL term deposit schemes are rated CARE ‘AAA’ and ‘FAAA’ with a stable outlook by CRISIL. This finance company is registered with the National Housing Bank (NHB) and is incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. The company also issues shares and is registered with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). PNB provides customers the option to choose from both cumulative and non-cumulative FDs. They also offer a wide range of interest payout options.

    The table given below lists the interest rates on the fixed deposits offered by PNB HFL as per the corresponding tenure.

    • PNB HFL short-term FDs are a great option for those who want to earn interest but do not want to lock-in their money for a long time
    • The interest rate offered on this type of tenure range is 7.45% for investments made from 1 year to less 3 years
    • For investing for a time period that ranges from 24 months to 35 months, the tentative yield percentage at the time of maturity will be around 7.73% p.a.
    • On the other hand for 36 months, around 8.02% p.a. will be the projected yield at maturity

    PNB HFL medium-term fixed deposit interest rates

    • Medium term fixed deposits are great to meet some short-term financial goals, be it a vacation, a new purchase or education fees
    • The tenure range for medium term deposits is ideally more than 3 years to 5 years
    • The rate of interest offered on PNB HFL medium term  FDs is 7.45% p.a.

    • For an investment tenure that ranges from 72 months to 84 months, the rate of yield is tentatively fixed at 8.98% p.a.

    PNB HFL senior citizen fixed deposit interest rates

    • Senior citizens can choose to put their money in short-term, medium-term and long-term time deposits
    • All those who are 60 years and above are eligible to get an additional 0.25% p.a., which is above the regular FD rate that is offered by PNB HFL
    • In case of this age group, the rate of interest offered will be only be for deposits that are up to Rs.1 crore
    • The rate of interest paid for a PNB HFL senior citizen fixed deposit is 7.70% p.a.

    • Investors can choose from a number of interest payout options such as monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual non-cumulative fixed deposits
    • The rate of interest paid on monthly payout FDs is 7.20% p.a. for all tenures
    • Depositors can fetch an interest rate of 7.25% p.a. for quarterly term deposits
    • When it comes to half-yearly term deposits the percentage gain is 7.30% p.a. across all tenures
    • For yearly compounding fixed deposits the rate of interest paid for all the tenure ranges works up to 7.45% p.a.

    Some important points to note

    • As  far as cumulative term deposits are concerned, the interest is compounded on an annual basis, and this is usually by March 31 each year
    • PNB HFL also offers a number of special deposit schemes, for which the rate of interest paid is 7.55% p.a. for all tenures
    • All the interest rates mentioned above are effective from 22 January, 2018
    • For the monthly income plan, interest is credited to the account of the depositor on the last day of every month
    • For quarterly plans, interest is credited at the end of three months and for half-yearly plans, the interest payment is made twice each year in September and March

      The rate of interest offered by PNB Housing finance for the Fixed Deposit was great and affordable. They have offered me 9.25% cumulative interest rate on a half yearly basis. While other banks were providing interest on yearly basis. The process of documentation is faster compare to other banks and there are no extra charges charged.

      The rate of interest offered by PNB Housing finance for the FD was great. The rates offered by them was really great. They have offered me 9.4% cumulative interest rate on a half yearly basis. Where as other Banks are providing that on a yearly basis. They require very less documents to process the deposit.
