How to Register a Vehicle in Arunachal Pradesh RTO

The Commissioner of Transport is the Head of the Arunachal Pradesh Transport Department. The Transport Department ensures the enforcement of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, in Arunachal Pradesh, through the various Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) in the state.

How to Register Vehicle in Arunachal Pradesh RTO

To register your vehicle in an RTO in Arunachal Pradesh, you need to do the following:

  • Step 1: Visit the RTO in your local area
  • Step 2: Request for the application form for vehicle registration (temporary or permanent)
  • Step 3: Fill up the application form and sign it
  • Step 4: Submit the application form along with the required documents

The registration process will now be initiated. You will receive your registration certificate once the verification and other formalities have been completed.

  • RTO Jammu makes HSRP mandatory

    The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Jammu has issued a public notice that it is mandatory for all the vehicles plying on the road to get High Security Registration Plates (HSRP). The RTO in Jammu had informed the general public that in compliance with the instructions given by the Supreme Court, all vehicle owners must affix HSRP before 16 September 2017. However, some vehicles are still on the road without HSRP. Observing this, the RTO in Jammu has reiterated to all motor vehicle owners to get HSRP affixed. Failure to do this would be considered a wilful violation of the law and violators will be dealt with strictly.
