If you own a motor vehicle then it is mandatory for you to get it registered. You can do this by either downloading the Form 20 online or visiting the nearest Regional Transport Office (RTO) to get the application form.
You will have to fill the form and submit it with all the relevant documents at the nearest RTO.

There are more signatures to be put which will be done in the presence of an inspecting authority.
You will have to provide proof of identity and address, Form 20, proof of citizenship, PAN Card, road worthiness certificate, sales certificate, custom clearance certificate if the vehicle is imported, temporary registration certificate, invoice from the dealer, and the certificate of insurance.
The registration certificate will remain valid for 15 years.
If you do not get your vehicle registered then you will be penalised for the same.
