How to Apply for a Driving Licence in Telangana Online

As mentioned above, a Learner's Licence is a temporary Licence which has a validity of 6 months and is issued when the applicant is in the process of learning a motor vehicle. 2. Step 2: On the homepage, on your left hand side, you will see a link named "Fresh Driving Licence". Please click that link to proceed.
3. Step 3: You will now be taken to an Automated Online Services page, where you will be allowed to fill an automated form online to apply for a DL.
4. Step 4: Please fill the form accurately. You will be asked to fill details like your Learning Licence Number, date of birth, and mobile number.
5. Step 5: You will be sent an One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Please enter the password in the space provided and proceed.
6. Step 6: You will also be asked to enter your personal information like your Surname and Aadhaar Number. Once you fill these details, please click on "Submit".
7. Step 7: Once the application is submitted, the applicant gets an "application reference number" followed by notification via SMS/e-mail to take the permanent Licence test.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for a Driving Licence in Telangana

Things to keep in mind

1. A permanent driving Licence has an expiry date and is valid only until the date that is mentioned at the back of the card.
2. If the date has expired, usually a duration of 30 days is granted as the grace period for renewing the Licence.
3. If the licence holder renews it within 5 years from the expiry date, he/she is exempted from the test. However, the Licence will be valid from the date of renewal.
